We are a mixed NHS and private dental practice located in Comber, Co. Down. The practice is headed up by Dr Christine Thomson.
Christine and her team will be using state-of-the-art technology, regular dental training courses and keeping an eye on current dental research developments so that we can do everything we can to ensure professional care for your teeth. It goes without saying that a friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere form a natural part of your visit.
Christine graduated from University of Dundee in 2007 with a BDS with Honours. She has worked in various dental practices in Scotland and Northern Ireland, with her most recent associateship in Saintfield, before starting up her own practice here in Comber in 2015. She has developed a keen interest in minimally invasive restorative and cosmetic dentistry and as such has done various postgraduate training courses to further my knowledge in dentistry and have completed my training in Botox and dermal fillers as well as the Inman & ClearSmile aligner orthodontics. In 2020 she completed a postgraduate certificate in clinical medical education, whereby she uses this to help mentor young graduate dentists.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband James and two boys Fraser and Mason, 2 dogs Buster and Nicol and cat Trixie, who keep me on my toes! When I do manage to get out I love meeting up with old friends and having a good old catch-up!!
Kexin, studied at Queens University Belfast and graduated in 2017. She has worked in general practices in Bangor and Belfast as well as having completed further training as a SHO in Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Altnagelvin Area Hospital.
During the Covid 19 Pandemic, Kexin took on the role of a Community Dental Officer at a Special Care Practice in Southern England. She enjoyed working with vulnerable children and adults and providing comprehensive dental treatments. She now shares her working week part-time with us at Vita Dental and part time as a Community Dental Officer within the Belfast Trust.

Helen qualified from Queens University Belfast in 2004 with a BDS (distinction in oral surgery). She has worked in 2 practices (9 years in each) in Birmingham and Bangor. She has completed many postgraduate courses including MFJDF, post graduate certificate in restorative dentistry at the Eastman (UCL) and mini smile makeover. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, motivating patients and making them happy with their mouth and smile.
Outside of work she spends a lot of her time on the side of the pitch watching her boys play rugby and football, as well as coaching herself after establishing a mums team. She also loves walking by the sea and spending Helen McCarthy Dentist quality time with her family and friends.

Noeleen started her dental career as a dental nurse in 2003. She gradually gained more qualifications and went on to graduate with high commendation from Queens University Belfast in 2005 as a dental hygienist.
She joined the team at Vita Dental Care in November 2016 and she is very passionate about oral health education and aims to do her best to work with patients to achieve the best results.

Jenny qualified as a dental nurse in May 2011 and joined the team at Vita Dental Care in November 2022. She enjoys working together as part of a team and getting to know the patients.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending country music concerts and baking sweet treats for everyone to enjoy!

Carla McClung joined the team at Vita Dental Care as a trainee dental nurse. She has recently completed her NEBDN nursing qualification with Belfast Metropolitan College in September 2023.
Outside of work Carla has her partner, 3 children and a dog to keep her busy. She enjoys spending her free time relaxing with her family, watching films and spending time at her caravan.

Lesley Hall has joined the team at Vita Dental Care in April 2021 as a receptionist and part of the welcoming team. She is enjoying learning the ropes and managing the day to day running of the practice diaries and appointment systems.
Lesley is also undertaking training part time in practice management and is gradually taking on more responsibility with the management side of the practice.
