We will do our best to provide you with the most convenient appointment time to suit your diary. We offer early morning appointments.
As a new patient you will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire so that your dentist understands your health history prior to meeting you. This will be routinely reviewed to make sure we remain informed. At your first appointment your dentist will chat to you to find out about your oral health routine and how satisfied you are with your smile. After a thorough dental examination, including mouth cancer screening and x-rays if required, a treatment plan and estimate will be devised.
Your dentist will talk to you about preventative techniques to improve your oral health and help you reduce the need for any dental treatment in the future.
Here at Vita Dental Care, we pride ourselves on our reputation for providing outstanding dental care to patients of all ages. We strongly believe in preventative dentistry and will never recommend treatments just for the sake of it.
As well as offering general dental treatment and helping you to understand how to improve the health of your mouth, we also understand that a healthy, attractive smile helps promote and sustain your sense of inner wellbeing and happiness. For this reason, our cosmetic treatments are designed to make you love your smile.
We welcome new patients for general and cosmetic dental treatment.
When you book your first appointment, we ask that you complete a medical history questionnaire and smile check which can be downloaded from this website, we ask that you bring these with you to your first appointment so we can understand your dental health needs.
We want you to feel relaxed and welcome as soon as you enter the practice, and we realise people can be nervous about visiting the dentist. That's why, before you even sit in the dentist's chair, you will meet the team and have an initial chat about your wants, needs and concerns. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have; it helps us to work together for the perfect smile.
Once we have done this, your dentist will carry out a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth, including a mouth cancer screening, and any x-rays and photographs necessary.
We will combine your aspirations for your smile with our findings, and create a personal treatment plan for either general or cosmetic work, including estimate costs and payment options. We will go through all the treatment options available to you in detail.
Because we know time is precious, we offer very convenient appointment times, including evenings and early mornings, so you can fit your appointments around your schedule.
Due to high demand our NHS waiting list is currently CLOSED. If you have already placed your name on this waiting list, we will contact you when you are at the top of the list to organise a suitable appointmnet to attend for your first visit. Please DO NOT keep phoning the practice to ask where you are on this list. Rest assured when your name is at the top of the list we will contact you using the contact details that you provided. If we have tried to make contact with you but do not receive a response, we will try a second time. If after the second time of trying to make contact and we are unable to do so, your name will be removed from our waiting list as it will be assumed that you no longer want to register as an NHS patient with the practice. Our practice has over 80% of patients registered under the NHS and can no longer take on any more NHS registrations
If you wish to register as a private or Denplan patient you can register your details by contacting the practice on 02891897897 and a suitable assessment appointment can be made (please be aware of longer waiting times as a result of the restrictions placed on us due to COVID-19).
The cost of your first appointment will be approximately £55 and then if you require treatment the dentist will be able to give you a break down of the treatment outstanding. Please DO NOT ask our reception team how much your treatment will cost over the telephone, it is the repsonsibility of the DENTIST to discuss your treatment plan with you.
